A Day at the Park

We have had a few beautiful fall days in our neck of the woods... we took advantage of this one by heading out to the park by my sister in laws house. I haven't been in the mood to take many pictures lately so this was especially fun for me, I got some great shots! I cant wait to try my hand at editing some of them!

My handsome Joshua

Noah having fun on the see saw

I love this one of Micah and I! I can't remember the last time we took a picture together!

Noah liked the merry go round, as long as I didn't spin it too fast!

Joshua loved the swings

Noah was playing on this weird rocker thing with Micah...

... and playing on this horsey thing.
I cherish these moments with my family now more than ever

A Family Dinner

A few weeks ago Micah had some family visiting from out of town. Thankfully we were able to spend a little time with them at a family dinner that Micah's Aunt, Teresa had planned. I got some pictures of the kids playing on this giant rope swing that they have on their property! It was such a good time seeing some of the family that we don't see very often!

I love this one of Noah! The colors are just amazing!

Here is Caleb getting ready to swing with a little help from Dale...

He liked it!

After watching Caleb go for it Noah decided he wanted to try! He is such a chicken, I was really surprised he did it!

I have such a hard time getting pictures of my nephews, especially this one! Caleb never holds still or he is always doing something goofy! I thought this one was cute tho.

Pumpkin Patch

This week Noah had his first field trip! He was so excited to go to the pumpkin patch with all of his friends from school. Micah, Joshua, and I also tagged along... I am so glad we were all able to be there. It has been a crazy few weeks for us and it was so nice to be together and just have fun. The farm we went to was beautiful! It had so many things to take pictures of, my favorite thing of course was my boys. When it was all said and done, we all got a little muddy, and wet, but we ended up with two perfect pumpkins and wonderful memories!

We got so tired of chasing Joshua around while he crawled around in the mud... finally had the genius idea of putting him in the stroller! It also carried our pumpkins... I can be such an air head sometimes!

Me and Micah

I had to share pictures of this! I love all things old, especially cars and trucks... I must get that from my dad. Anyway there was this great rusty and mildewy old truck at the pumpkin patch with plants growing all over it, I had to get some pictures!

This was also really neat, ad huge grain silo that had an amazing wisteria growing on top of it, and around the sides it had this beautiful red plant. Not sure what it is called but it sure was beautiful!

Fall Fun

Due to the craziness these past few weeks my mom decided to take a day off and take us to the corn maze! This turned out to be probably one our last nice fall days around here. I'm glad we took advantage of it!

Noah and Joshua swimming in pumpkins!

I love this one, I took it while in the maze. God's creation is just amazing... look at that blue sky

Joshua is 16 months old and still NOT walking!!!!! He totally can, he is just a big chicken! Here he is walking around the maze holding my moms hand, of course as soon as she lets go he will crawl all over the mud.

Joshua breaking the rules and walking through the corn! At least he did it by himself!

I took these pictures of the landscape because I just love farmland! it will be fun to try and edit these

Happy Fall and my thrifty finds

Fall is my favorite time of year, my absolute favorite! I love the colors, the smell, Starbucks drinks, my favorite is Pumpkin Spice latte this time of year, I love to wear Jeans and long sleeves, I love sweaters, I love to walk with my boys in the cool air. I decorated my house for fall last week, I don't go crazy or anything, but I do like to surround myself with things that I love.

I have this candle on my table on a tall white candlestick year round, but i like it used this way on a leaf holder.
I love this sign, it hangs above my stove.

My pumpkin and leaf candy dish. I also used this decorating time to re do some of my existing decorations as well as bring in some of my thrifty finds. I put this fabric behind the glass on my china cabinet... It turned out great, it looks much cleaner when you cant see all of the things I keep inside. Now i think I need to change the color of the knobs... too minty now.

I found these candlesticks for $1.99 each at a thrift store. I loved the color and have learned that when I see something that will be perfect in my home, I definitely shouldn't pass it up. I have missed out on too many good finds before.

I bought this jar at the Farm Chicks Antique show last summer. Now I have on my table between those candlesticks. The lemons aren't in there anymore, my boys like to play with them.

A few months ago I found the perfect bookcase on our local craigslist. It was the perfect size, color, and style for my home. I loved it! But I am also cheap, and just didn't want to spend money. Since then I have regretted not getting it. It haunts me, every time i look at the corner of my living room that it should be sitting I think, I am never going to find a more perfect bookcase for my home. A few weeks ago My wonderful husband found this set of benches on craigslist, he knew that I would love them and that they would be perfect for our home. He was right, they are perfect!!!!
I have the longer bench at my dining room table

The smaller one is by our front door. The tile is new, we are still waiting to get a tile saw so we can finish it. Micah is so handy! I love that he can do these things to our home. Eventually we will have a wood stove here, just have to get it installed and the bench will go in our mud room, which is non existent right now, but its perfect for now.

I love the bead board detail on these benches

Noah's Birthday Party

A few weeks ago we had a birthday party for my sweet Noah. We have a tiny house, so we planned on having the party in our backyard. Of course it rained... that didn't really seem to stop the kids from heading out to the bouncy house tho! It rained for only the first half hour or so and surprisingly dried up very quickly. In all we crammed about 40 + people into our 1,000 square foot house. I wish I had gotten a picture of everyone sitting on the couch, chair, benches and all over the floor so that there wasn't much room to walk. It was awesome to have all of our family and friends there to celebrate Noah's birthday with us! Thank you to everyone who came!

My Nephew Caleb posing for a picture... I can never get him to hold still!

This was on the center of the table, I have more pictures of the dessert display and the cupcakes, but i keep forgetting to add them, so instead of waiting another week to get this post up I am leaving it as is...

Caleb eating a sweet treat

One of our friends missed Joshua's birthday in June so they brought a gift for Joshua to Noah's party. He was very excited

Noah loved all of his gifts

there was definitely a theme... Cars...

Our friend Danica... what a beautiful girl

Micah holding Noah's cupcake. I made cupcake wrappers and toppers, I love to be crafty...

Happy Birthday to my precious son. I am so blessed to be your mommy and I pray daily that you will grow to be a man who loves the Lord with all your heart and will want to serve him with your life
