Brothers

Just thought this picture was funny! I caught both of my boys in the dog kennel with Maggie! So cute! Enjoy!

Happy Easter Sunday!

One of my favorite days is Easter sunday. It is always busy for us, but well worth it. We start out with a Easter Breakfast at our church, it is usually packed to the brim, but this year wasn't as busy, I actually had a place to sit! During the service we had a choir presentation called "Thank you for the cross" It is a compilation of some well known as well as some not so well known worship songs. I was so blessed to be a part of the choir this year! The service was bittersweet for me this year, It was the last time I will have my parents at church with me. I will probably blog about this later on, after I have worked through some of my feelings! After church we go to my husbands aunts house for a big easter luncheon, a pie contest, and a huge easter egg hunt! I love this time, and Noah had a blast! After we had some time at home, my brother and his fiance came over with their xbox and we played some silly games, and had dessert with my Mom. I was exhausted by the end of the day, but It was a great day! I love time with family, considering I wont be seeing my Mom at church anymore It is even more precious now. Here are some pictures from our day!

Here is Joshua opening up his Easter basket. Happy first Easter Joshua!

six month follow-up

Last week we had our six month follow-up appointment at Children's. I was a complete wreck for a few days leading up to this appointment. I felt like a child, getting ready to tell some really important people something really important, but knowing that they would just disregard what I am saying, or worse, tell me I was wrong. We had so many wonderful ladies praying for this appointment, and my son. I truly felt those prayers! When I woke up the day of the appointment I felt completely at rest. God is in control, of everything, even what I feel like would be trivial in most peoples eyes. Praise be to God! The appointment went very well! Our doctor listened to all of our concerns, gave some input but mostly listened ( I didn't expect this!) We decided to lower Noah's dosage a little, and we will be watching him to see if this helps some of the side effects we have been noticing. We are praying that this new dosage will still prevent seizures, If it doesn't we will be exploring a new medication. A new medication would be more difficult, as we would have to wean him off the old and onto the new, Noah would most likely be having seizures during that time. I honestly don't know If I could handle that. My husband seems to be a little more comfortable with them, but I am actually terrified of seeing my son like that again. For now Noah is doing well on the new dosage, he is sleeping better during nap time, hopefully night time will get better soon! I also have noticed he isn't as sensitive to noise these past few days...

Here are some pictures from our trip! Enjoy!

The first thing we saw in the parking garage. Seriously?

Waiting in line to check in.

Noah kept trying to go out the automatic doors!

A wonderful volunteer helped Noah paint this picture. He was so exited to make the toes red!

My Garden

Last weekend I bought some "Miranda" tulips at the tulip festival, I shared some pictures in my last post of them, well they have finally opened up! They are beautiful! Seriously love these flowers! Here are some pictures...

This morning I took a walk through my garden to see what's new. There is certainly a lot more happening since the last time I poked around there!

My flowering cherry tree! The bees love this one!

More flowering cherry pics.

and some more...

You can tell which plants are my favorite!

A daffodil getting ready to open up! Please ignore the weeds in the background, so embarrassing!

One of my Lilac trees. I cant wait for this one to bloom, last year wasn't the best for this one, I had a butterfly bush next to it and it didn't do so well, got hardly any blooms, so hopefully it will be much happier without the butterfly bush monster next to it! Now I just hope my butterfly bush makes it...

Some of my peonies coming up! I got these last year from Beth's garden, I honestly didn't think they would make it!

Bleeding Heart... love this one! Came to me from my mom's garden... I love to have plants with a little history, such sweet memories!

Tulip festival

Tulips are one of my very favorite flowers, and until this weekend I had never been to the Tulip Festival! Shocking I know! Our Sweet Peas Garden club at our church headed up to the fields for the day, We had a great time of fellowship as well as enjoyed Gods beautiful creation. It was freezing and windy, but at least it was dry! Here are some pictures I took!

The view from our van as we drove up to the field The parking attendant got us stuck! My poor mom was driving our church van, and we got stuck in the soggy field! Luckily we got our money refunded and a push out of the muck! It was actually pretty funny considering we were just driving where they directed us! The sun was actually shining for a few minutes! Here is the proof! Our group! Beth, Naomi, Kerri (my mom) Sherry ( mother in law and our Pastors wife) and our newest group member Doris!
The pink ones were in full bloom!
I love the pink ones! Probably my favorite color!

A beautiful Tangerine colored one. I think its name was actually tangerine something...

I Love the simplicity of this flower! So simple and yet beautiful! the purple ones were just starting to open up

Gods creation is just breathtaking! How can people not see our divine creators hand in the simplest of things...a field of tulips, in every color you can imagine, each one just so different and unique.

My favorite one of all! This one is called the Miranda, I plan on ordering some of these for next year! Looks like peonies!

A sign hanging above the doorway into the gift shop!

I am so thankful that my husband was able to stay home with the kids so I could enjoy this time.

What are you doing mom?

Here are my Miranda tulips in a vase at my home! I cant wait for them to open up!

After freezing my toes off I came home to a yummy vanilla latte in one of my favorite mugs, with lots of whipped cream!

Seriously I had an amazing time, just wish my family was able to be there, maybe we will go later in the week when it isn't so busy, that way I can get some pictures of my boys!
